Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
If, and only if, you accept analytics in that banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Until you accept, no Google script is loaded and no request reaches Google.
Purpose. To understand which restaurants, cities and articles visitors look for, so we can judge what to cover next. We read aggregate patterns, not individual people.
Legal basis. Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021).
Data processed. Pages viewed, an approximate location derived from a shortened IP address, the referring website, and general device and browser information. IP anonymisation is switched on, so the address is truncated before further processing.
Cookies used. _ga and _ga_4Y5LVX308Q, each lasting up to two years. They tell one visitor apart from another; they do not identify you by name.
Transfer outside the EU. Google may process data on servers of Google LLC in the United States, on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard contractual clauses.
Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw at any time with effect for the future, using the button at the end of this page. Withdrawing also deletes the cookies named above from your browser. You may additionally install Google's opt-out browser add-on. Further detail is in Google's privacy policy.
Service Providers
Operating the Service relies on the following processors:
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and delivery of the website. Server logs including IP addresses are processed to serve pages and defend against attacks (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a working, secure site).
- Supabase — the database and image storage holding the guide's content and photographs supplied by listed venues.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email, such as confirming a listing enquiry.
- beehiiv — newsletter distribution where you have subscribed. Your address is stored there until you unsubscribe, which every newsletter lets you do.
Data Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
